Here's a great and easy Fourth of July craft for the kids - fashion cuffs. While I give a general design below, you can encourage kids to design their cuffs however they like using red, white and blue felt.
And kids don't have to reserve these for the Fourth. They'd also make great super hero accessories, don't you think?

What you'll need
- red, white and blue felt
- glue (hot glue gun optional)
- scissors
- button
- thread
How to make it
1. Cut a strip of white felt for the base of the cuff. You can make it as wide or thin as you'd like. Just make sure it's longer than the wrist to accomodate a button.
Then cut two to three narrow strips of red for stripes, a small square out of the blue felt and a small square out of the white.
2. Glue red strips to the cuff base. I've found hot glue works best, but fabric glue will work too.
3. Glue the blue square to the center of the cuff. Then, cut a star out of the small white square of felt.
4. Glue the white star to the blue circle. Then sew a button onto one end of the cuff.
5. Snip the felt to add a button hole and it's ready to wear!
