Quick and Delicious Salted Almond Toffee Bark

Quick and Delicious Salted Almond Toffee Bark

By Kelsey Banfield

The other day I made a quick batch of chocolate bark to send to work with my husband. He put it in his common area as a little gift to his coworkers. I love making quick batches of bark like this because it is so easy to make and everyone always loves it. It can also easily be made in a large or small quantities so it is really easy for sending to offices or giving to teachers. I like to give mine a salty, sweet flair, but almost any kind of topping will work. If you want to give this particular recipe a more gourmet twist try adding dried fruit or a pinch of cayenne pepper!

Salted Almond Toffee Bark

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces dark or milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits (like the Heath Bits you find in the baking aisle)
  • 1/2 cup chopped salted almonds

Directions

1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and spread it into one layer on a lined cookie sheet. It should be about 1/4-inch thick.

2. Scatter the toffee bits and chopped almonds and place the sheet in the fridge to cool until completely hardened. Then bread the bark into several pieces and allow enjoy!
