I’ve got another smoothie recipe that uses over-ripe bananas today. I love making different smoothies through the hot months. They’re a perfect way to cool down, get in your fruit servings, and and joy a very healthy drink that tastes more like a dessert. This smoothie recipe uses healthy blueberries. Blueberries are so full of healthy vitamins and antioxidants. They have been shown to help prevent cancer and protect your heart. For this smoothie, I used frozen pre-packaged blueberries. I kept all my fresh blueberries for snacking. I also used a little sweet vanilla yogurt and soy milk to make this smoothie very creamy and delicious.
Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 over ripe banana
- 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup almond, soy, or other lowfat milk
- a few ice cubes
Method
1. Add all ingredients to the blender and mix on high until smooth.
