Fruit Skewers with Marshmallow Dipping Sauce

Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 15 minutes

Fruit is really a sweet treat on its own. But when the occasion calls for something special, this light and fluffy dip is just the ticket. Little ones can practice their patterns as they help you skewer the fruit. Use a wide variety - maybe your kids will even try something “exotic” like kiwi or mango when dipped into this scrumptious concoction.

Yield: 1 cup

What you'll need

  • 8 ounces of reduced fat cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest from one lemon
  • Milk to thin
  • Assorted fruit (pineapple, apple, strawberries, kiwis, banana slices, mandarin oranges)
  • Wooden skewers

How to make it

  1. Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract and lemon zest until smooth. If necessary, thin with a little milk until it is soft enough to dip fruit into. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Place fruit on the wooden skewers. Serve with the dipping sauce.
