Butter Roasted Turmeric-Ginger Mushrooms

Create a savory side dish or appetizer in less than 30 minutes. Crimini and button mushrooms are baked in a buttery broth flavored with fresh herbs.

What you'll need

  • 6 ounces crimini mushrooms, whole
  • 6 ounces white button mushrooms, whole
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 ounce fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ounces unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Crusty bread


Servings: 4

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. Toss crimini and button mushrooms with turmeric, ginger, rosemary and thyme.
  2. In a preheated medium sautéed pan add olive oil, then butter. Allow butter time to lightly brown then add mushrooms, salt and pepper. Toss gently, then place in hot oven for 9 minutes (6 minutes if using a convection oven), tossing once halfway through cooking.
  3. Remove from oven, add soy sauce, gently toss again, and serve in a warm bowl with crusty bread.
