Linguine with Asiago and Lemony Garlic Butter
serves two
Ingredients
- whole wheat linguine
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- ground black pepper to taste
- zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons minced chives
- 1/4 cup shaved Asiago cheese
- 2 lemon wedges
Directions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine to al dente.
- Meanwhile, heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and cook until melted. Add the garlic, sea salt, and ground black pepper. Edge heat to low and cook garlic for two to three minutes. Off the heat, stir in the zest and set aside.
- Drain the pasta, toss with garlic butter, and fold in the chives and Asiago. Finish each dish with a squeeze of lemon, and serve.
