My daughter and I made homemade pizza dough all the time and I often have pizza dough leftover after we make our pizzas. The other day I thought about make a pizza in a mug, but that didn’t work well. I then decided to bake a pizza in a little flower pot I had on hand. Why not, I thought, make a pepperoni pizza that we could eat out of a bowl. We actually had a blast making and eating the pizza. It was our favorite quick dinner in a whole new form!
Flower Pot Pepperoni Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 small ball homemade pizza dough, about 1/2 cup
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce
- 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella
- Pepperoni for topping
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Roll out the pizza dough to a round circle about 8 inches in diameter so that is it less than 1/4″ thick. Place it into a 3-inch flower pot, allowing the crust to come up and over the edges. Spoon in the pizza sauce and top with the cheese and pepperoni. Bake for 20 minutes. The crust will puff up so expect the pizza to rise. Serve warm with a fork and spoon!
