DIY Crayon Hearts for Valentine's Day

DIY Crayon Hearts for Valentine's Day

These colorful crayon hearts make a great gift for Valentine's Day. Plus, they are so simple (and inexpensive) to make!

I used silicon heart cupcake molds, with scalloped edges, which are available online and where cooking supplies are sold.

What you'll need

  • Silicone cupcake heart molds
  • Broken crayons

How to make it

DIY Crayon Hearts for Valentine's Day

1. Place broken, unwrapped crayon pieces into silicone heart molds.

If you want a specific color scheme, you can buy several different single-color crayon boxes, which are now available everywhere. Peel the crayons, and then break them into smaller pieces.

2. Set the crayon-filled molds on a baking sheet.

3. Place the tray and molds in your oven at 250 degrees until completely melted - about 15 minutes.

4. Remove from the oven and allow to set before removing them - about 30 minutes.

5. Then, just pop the crayons out of their molds - and admire the swirls of color!

Have a happy Valentine's Day!
