My girls LOVE apples dipped in peanut butter (and they probably inherited this from me, since it's one of my favorite snacks too).
One afternoon, as we were getting ready for snack, I noticed a little jar of caramel in the fridge leftover from some banana splits a few days earlier. And if there's one thing I love more than peanut butter, it's peanut butter mixed with caramel.
A few extra ingredients and our regular weekday snack was suddenly super special!

- 2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
How to make it
- Arrange your apple slices on a plate and set aside.
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat (or a microwavable bowl), mix together the peanut butter and caramel until smooth and melted. Drizzle over the apple slices.
- Melt the full-size chocolate chips until smooth, then drizzle on the apple slices.
