Oven-Baked Rutabaga Fries

Rutabagas are a yellow root vegetable that can be prepared similar to a potato. If you are not familiar with this vegetable, this is the perfect way to introduce this tasty vegetable to your family. Serve it with your favorite burger to complete a tasty family dinner.

What you'll need

  • 2 medium rutabagas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Peel rutabagas, slice them into strips, and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Add olive oil and salt, and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Place the strips on a large baking sheet with space between each strip and cook for 12 minutes, turning each strip twice to cook evenly until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt, paprika and garlic powder.
