I'll be honest, pitting cherries is not my favorite way to spend my time. But this cobbler is totally worth getting my fingers juice-stained over. It's so delicious! Now, I personally love the presentation of baking these in mason or little jam jars. Wouldn't they be sweet at a picnic? Just let them cool, top and go.

What you'll need
- 3 cups cherries - pitted and halved
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp cold butter
How to make it
- Preahet oven to 375.
- Combine cherries, vanilla extract, cream and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
- In another mixing bowl combine flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter until you form a dough. I've always just used my finger tips but you can use a pastry cutter or food processor.
- Divide cherry mixture among four mason jars.
- Take a bit of dough form it into a circle as large as your mason jar. Place it on top of the cherry mixture.
- Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until cobbler is golden brown. Serve with a nice scoop of ice cream on top. It tastes like heaven. Mmmm...
