Layered Black Cherry and Peaches & Cream Gelatin

It doesn't always have to be about cake! I served this festive and fun layered gelatin at my son's birthday party and it was the talk of the pre-school.  Give a try! Combine your favorite Jell-O® flavors and decorate with your child's favorite fruit. A good-quality bundt pan gives it a fun shape and a perfect center pocket to present tasty treats in.

What you'll need

For Black Cherry Layer

  • 1- 3oz package of black cherry flavored Jell-O®
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold milk

Peaches and Cream Layer

  • 2 tablespoons peach flavored Jell-O®
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk

Notes:

Yields 8 one-cup servings.

How to make it

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 cup boiling water to black cherry gelatin mix, stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in1 cup milk until combined.
  3. Refrigerate until set. Approximately 3 hours.
  4. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, sprinkle peach flavored Jell-O® over 1/4 cup of cold water and allow the gelatin to absorb the water.
  5. Stir in 3/4 cup of the boiling water until gelatin is fully dissolved. 
  6. Stir in sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is smooth. Gently pour peaches and cream mixture over firm black cherry gelatin.
  7. Refrigerate for 1½ hours or until peaches and cream layer is firm.
