These spooky strawberries are always a hit at Halloween parties and a favorite in my daughter's lunch box for a special treat. These ghost strawberries are incredibly simple to make and are deliciously frightening!

What you'll need

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 12 strawberries
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

Notes:

makes 12

How to make it

  1. Place a sheet of wax or parchment paper on a baking sheet. Set aside until needed.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently, until smooth and melted.
  3. Dip strawberries into the melted chocolate, one at a time, until coated. Place the coated strawberries onto the prepared baking sheet and place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently, until smooth and melted. Pour into a piping bag or a plastic food storage bag with the very tip of the corner cut off.
  5. On the strawberries, pipe two circles for the "eyes" and one oval for the "mouth" to look like ghosts. Place back in the refrigerator for an additional 5 minutes for the chocolate to set. Serve.
