Asian Marinated Flank Steak

With ingredients that one almost always has on hand you can make a flank steak extra special in no time!

What you'll need

  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 3 pounds flank steak

Notes:

Make-Ahead: The marinade can be made up to 2 weeks ahead and kept in the refrigerator.

Make it Faster: Use pre-chopped garlic.

Variations:

Substitution(s): Lemon juice can be substituted for lime juice.

Any London broil steak, about 1-inch thick, can be used.

How to make it

  1. In large resealable plastic bag mix soy sauce, honey, lime juice, garlic and ginger to combine. Lightly score steak on both sides. Add steak to marinade. Marinate in refrigerator 4 to 8 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Heat broiler. Cover sided cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Cook steak 4 inches from heat for 11 minutes, turning once, or until medium rare.
