Thanksgiving Stuffing Craft

Thanksgiving Stuffing

Total Time Needed: 1-2 Hours

Sew up a bounty of felt play food and a cornucopia pocket for storing the harvest.

Materials

  • Templates
  • Felt
  • Embroidery needle
  • Embroidery floss
  • Cotton balls or fiberfill

Instructions

  1. Download our templates and use them to cut shapes from felt. You'll need two matching shapes for each item you make.
  2. Thread an embroidery needle with embroidery floss. Tuck or layer any stems, roots, and leaves onto the main felt shapes, as shown. Sew the matching shapes together with a simple running stitch most of the way around the edge. Stuff the shape with cotton balls or fiberfill, then sew up the opening. For the cornucopia, sew around the outer edge, leaving the center hole open for a pocket.

Shortcut: For a faster version of this craft, use fabric glue in place of needle and thread. You can also embellish your finished veggies with lines and dots of dimensional fabric glue.
