Ingredients
- 1 cup almonds, blanched
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup dried apricots
- 3/4 cup dates, chopped
- 3/4 walnuts
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup granulated or sifted onfectioners' sugar
- candy paper liner
Instructions
- Pulse 1 cup of blanched almonds and 3/4 cup each of raisins, dried apricots, chopped dates, and walnuts in a blender or food processor until you have a coarse meal.
- Add 1/4 cup of orange juice and pulse until the mixture sticks together.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll the balls in sugar, if you like.
- Set the sugarplums in candy paper liners and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Makes 24 to 30.
