Total Time Needed: 1 Hour
This easy-to-make honeycomb-shaped wall shelf is great for holding tiny trinkets. Just add more tubes to show off a larger collection.
Materials
- Card stock or double-sided scrapbook paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Tacky glue
- Paper clips
- Pushpins
Instructions
- Cut 3- by 9-inch strips of card stock or double-sided scrapbook paper. Roll each into a tube and secure it with tape, then arrange the tubes on a large sheet of card stock (we chose a triangular design).
- Remove the innermost tube and run a generous line of tacky glue along its bottom edge, then gently press it back onto the card stock base. Repeat with the other tubes, working your way to the outside of the design. Allow the glue to dry for a few minutes.
- Place generous dollops of glue between the tubes where the sides meet, then use paper clips to hold the tubes in place while they dry.
- Cut off the excess backing, as shown, leaving a 1/4- to 1/2-inch border. Hang the honeycomb with pushpins hidden inside several of the tubes.
