Mini First-Aid Kit

Total Time Needed: 1 Hour

Tucked in a backpack or locker, this personalized cache of supplies stored in a travel soap dish will ensure that your child is well prepared for life's little emergencies.

Materials

  • Tube of 3-D fabric paint
  • White sticky-back felt
  • Craft glue
  • Googly eyes with eyelids and lashes
  • Mini pom-pom
  • Permanent marker
  • Travel soap dish
  • Paper

Instructions

  1. Using the tube of paint, draw a decorative bandage on the felt. Glue on the googly eyes and pom-pom nose, and marker on a mouth, as shown. When the paint and glue have dried, cut out the bandage and attach it to the soap dish cover.
  2. Print your child's contact numbers on a piece of paper cut to fit inside the cover and glue it in place.
  3. Finally, fill the box with items your child may need, such as a small bottle of hand sanitizer, an alcohol wipe, lotion, an eyeglass repair kit, dental floss, and a prepaid phone card.
