Create a trademark of Hawaiian hospitality with these colorful paper leis.
Materials
- Muffin-pan liners
- Scissors
- Tissue paper
- Embroidery needle
- Yarn
Instructions
- For each flower, flatten 1 or 2 muffin-pan liners and trim the edge of each to create petal shapes.
- Cut a round center out of the bottom of another liner and leaves from green liners or tissue paper. Make a dozen or so flowers.
- Thread an embroidery needle with a strand of yarn long enough to create a loop that fits loosely over your child's head.
- String on each flower, starting with the leaves followed by the petal layer and center, spacing them evenly along the strand.
- Tie the ends together.
