Granny Smith Slaw Recipe

Slightly sweet with a hint of citrus, this fruity slaw might convert even the most reluctant vegetable eaters.


  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 8 ounces coleslaw mix (about 4 cups)
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, halved


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, sugar, and celery seed.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix, apple, celery, and grapes, then toss gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Serves 6.
