Total Time Needed: 1 Hour
With this method, young artists can festoon eggs with tangles of swirls. To create our layered look, we used several colors of embroidery floss.
Materials
- Blown white egg
- Paintbrush
- Mod Podge
- 3-foot lengths of embroidery floss
- Chopstick or skewer
- Drinking glass
Instructions
- Working on one area of the egg at a time, paint the surface with Mod Podge, then press on loops of one color of embroidery floss. Gently brush a second coat of Mod Podge over the loops.
- Turn the egg and repeat until the egg is covered with loops. Place the egg on a chopstick or skewer in a drinking glass and let it dry thoroughly.
- Using the same technique, add lengths of embroidery floss in contrasting colors, one at a time.
