Total Time Needed: 1-2 Hours
You can transform hand-me-downs into matching outfits with this easy iron-on technique. It's also a great way to cover stains or just customize a plain onesie or tee.
Materials
- Patterned clothing
- Computer scanner (or photocopier)
- Inkjet transfer paper
- Pen or pencil
- Scissors
- Iron
- Plain piece of clothing
Instructions
- To start, scan the design from a piece of patterned clothing (here, flowered pants) into your computer and print the image onto inkjet transfer paper. Alternately, you can photocopy the design directly onto transfer paper.
- Draw and cut out a design (we traced a flower-shaped cookie cutter), then follow the package directions for ironing the design onto another piece of clothing (here, a white onesie).
