Total Time Needed: 2-3 Hours
It's hard to resist the appeal of putt-ering around the yard on a weekend afternoon. All it takes to get a quick game underway is a few plastic practice golf balls and the following easy-to-make props.
Materials
- 3-liter plastic soda bottle
- Colored tape
- Markers
- Cardboard
- Cardboard tubes
- Duct tape
Instructions
- Instant Golf Holes: For each one, trim the bottom off a 3-liter plastic soda bottle, then cut out an arched hole (ours was 3-1/4 inches wide and 4 inches tall) in the base.
- Use colored tape and markers to decorate and number the bottle.
- Makeshift Clubs: Fold a 3- by 11-1/2-inch piece of cardboard around the bottom of a long, sturdy cardboard tube (ours came from a roll of wrapping paper). Wrap duct tape around the two pieces to secure them together, then wrap the rest of the tube.
