This personalized sign smoothes your tot's transition from day to night and night to day. When she rises, help her turn the board to the "awake" side and greet the morning sun. Come evening, flip it over, so your little sleepyhead knows it's time to head for bed under the watchful eye of the moon.
Materials
- Glue stick
- Ribbon (ours is 20 inches long)
- Cardboard (ours is 11 by 14 inches)
- 2 pieces of blue card stock, one light and one dark, trimmed to fit the cardboard
- Yellow and white paper
- 2 photographs of your child: one of her awake, one of her sleeping
Instructions
1. First, make a hanger by gluing the ends of the ribbon to the top of the cardboard as shown. Then glue one piece of card stock to each side of the cardboard.
2. Cut a sun, a moon, clouds, and stars from the yellow and white paper. Glue the photographs and cutouts to the corresponding sides of the board. (For safety, hang the sign out of your child's reach.)
