Materials
- White satin ornament balls, assorted sizes
- Washable colored and black markers
- Craft glue
- Googly eyes
- Pom-poms, assorted sizes and colors
- Scissors
- Felt, assorted colors including black and orange
- Pipe cleaners, assorted colors
Instructions
To make the sporty penguin, color a small satin ball with black marker and glue it to a larger, white ball. Glue black felt wings, as shown, and a pair of orange felt feet to the larger ball. On the small black ball, glue googly eyes and a coiled orange pipe cleaner for a beak. Cut a scarf shape from green felt, wrap it carefully around the penguin's neck, using small dabs of glue to keep it in place.
For a Yuletide pup, color a ball with marker, then glue on googly eyes, floppy felt ears, and pom-pom cheeks and a nose. Add pom-pom fur tufts to the top of the ball and the bottom of the ears to make a poodle.
To construct a snow-white mouse, glue rounded felt ears to a satin ball, googly eyes, and pom-poms for cheeks and a nose.
To make a Christmas kitty, color a satin ball with a marker and glue on googly eyes, pom-poms for the nose and cheeks, and 2 small felt triangles for the ears. Use black marker to make stripes on a pipe cleaner and glue one end of the pipe cleaner to the back for the tail.
Glue a loop of ribbon to the top of each critter to hang it.
